Read Me Then Archive Me!

Welcome to your AminaPad blog. Everything below is managed from your CMS at app.pagescms.org. Once you’ve read through this, toggle the Archived switch on this post to hide it from your site.

Make It Yours

These are all in Site Settings:

  • Site title and tagline - your blog’s name and subtitle
  • Accent color - change the hex code to set your brand color across the entire site
  • Dark mode - toggle between a light or dark color scheme
  • Favicon - upload a custom icon for the browser tab
  • Homepage image - show a circular image above your site title (defaults to your author photo, or upload a separate one)
  • Author photo, name, and bio - shown in post author cards and your about page

Show and Hide

These toggles are in Site Settings and Navigation & Pages:

  • Social links on homepage - display your links below the site tagline
  • Social links in footer - display your links in the site footer
  • Show reading time - estimated read time on post cards and post pages
  • Show post date - publish date on post cards and post pages
  • Show author block - the author card at the bottom of each post
  • About page - toggle it on or off in your navigation
  • Contact page - toggle it on or off in your navigation
  • Tags page - toggle it on or off in your navigation
  • Custom navigation links - add external links to your nav (newsletter, portfolio, etc.)

Writing Posts

Each blog post has these options:

  • Featured - pins the post to the top of your homepage
  • Draft - saves the post without publishing it
  • Archived - hides the post from all listings but keeps it in your files
  • Tags - categorize posts (tag archive pages are generated automatically)
  • Featured image - shown at the top of the post and in previews
  • SEO title, description, and social image - override defaults for search engines and social sharing

Tracking and Analytics

At the bottom of Site Settings, paste code from Google Analytics, Google AdSense, affiliate networks, or any other tracking tool into the Custom Head Code field. It gets added to every page on your site.

One More Thing

Your Site URL field is at the very bottom of Site Settings. Set it to your Cloudflare Pages URL once and don’t change it unless you switch to a custom domain. It powers your RSS feed and sitemap.

Now go make this blog yours. When you’re done reading, come back to this post in the CMS and flip the Archived toggle.
